Born and raised
in Washington, D.C. to an Empowered African American Mother and a Musical
West Indian father, I lived and breathed skating during my early teenage
years. I believe that I rolled about 5 days a week and attended all
of the late night skate parties at Kalorama and Alexandria skating rinks.
Where we got the money from to skate that frequently still amazes me
as we were all still students in school.
As time progressed
and skating started to take more of a center stage, I joined a skating
group called “A Touch of Magic” (My girls, “Holla”)
which was soon followed by me joining a co-ed skating group that consisted
of the most talented brothas “The Roller’s Elite”,
that’s when the trickery and the footwork became more intense
and amazing to me. Skating still remains to be my favorite past time,
but my other stress relievers include singing, skiing, and bowling.
I am now married
with 2 loving boys. I am also as a Registered Nurse in the D.C. area.
Through my profession, I have learned to appreciate everyday that God
has gifted me. I cannot take life for granted, I must enjoy each day
to the fullest, I must treat others with respect, and most importantly,
I must give love. You never know the impact that you will have on someone’s
life.
The most important
thing in this bio that I want to be known about me is that I love my
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all my heart and soul, and each day
I purpose to live my life through duplication, discipline, and discipleship.
